I am currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Unit Manager to join a well‑established care home in Watton, Norfolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically strong and motivated Nurse Leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person‑centred care and supporting the development of a high‑performing clinical team.
Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day‑to‑day clinical operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of nursing and care delivery for residents.
The RoleAs Care Home Unit Manager, you will:
- Support the Home Manager in the overall clinical and operational management of the home
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance policies in line with NICE guidelines, NMC standards, and all regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor and coach nurses and carers to ensure best practice in medication administration, wound care and ongoing resident assessments
- Ensure care plans and clinical records are accurate, up to date and fully reflective of residents' needs
- Monitor and review clinical standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
- Act as a visible clinical role model, promoting excellence in person‑centred care
- Foster a positive, supportive and engaging working environment for all staff
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring both strong clinical expertise and the ability to inspire and develop others.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- NMC registration with relevant post‑registration experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Manager or in a similar clinical leadership role within the care sector
- Strong clinical skills with a clear focus on person‑centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A supportive leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability
- The ability to prioritise effectively and perform well under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining electronic care records
Salary of £50,000 per annum
