An exciting opportunity within a leading Exeter based Engineering firm for an experienced Tooling EngineerorToolmaker. YOu will not be produding designs yourself, but it is essential that you can read CAD drawings to assist in the production ofToolingsolutionsfor the customers. Ideally HNC or Graduate level, or possibly having completed an apprenticeship, you will have a good appreciation of toolmaking with a practical application. You will receive existing CAD drawings from your customer base and use your Tooling experience to engineer models for testing. Apply your comprehensive understanding of production planning, control and basic manufacturing systems in order to reduce product related scrap and rework through root cause analysis. Troubleshooting manufacturing problems and undertaking root cause analysis with a good understanding of CNC machining, CAD and/or 3D modelling essential. Previous experience as a Tooling Engineer, Toolmaker or similar absolutely essential. Tooling design and/or CAD experience useful. Proficiency in using CAE tools for CNC machining, CAD, and 3D modelling. Degree/HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline plus 4 years applicable engineering experience.
