The Role

You will be working with a range of industrial equipment producing high-quality stainless steel tubular, wire and steel components to customer specifications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating production machinery including auto-saws, guillotines, brake presses and tube bending equipment
  • Ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to agreed production targets
  • Supervising and overseeing work carried out by colleagues using equipment you have prepared and set up
  • Carrying out routine tool and equipment maintenance in line with company procedures
  • Supporting wider manufacturing activities including wire work, assembly operations and press work as workload requires
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production environment

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience setting and operating machinery within a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment
  • Supervisory experience or the ability to oversee and guide colleagues on production processes a distinct advantage
  • Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with NC-controlled equipment would be advantageous, although programming experience is not essential
  • A background in engineering would be highly beneficial
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and equipment
