Pay Rate:

• £13.50 per hour (05:00-13:00 and 13:00-21:00) KP
• £15.00 per hour (05:00-13:00 and 13:00-21:00 weekends) KP

Start Date: 08/11/2026 - KPs End Date 20/11

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts across a 7-day operation

• 13:00-21:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Kitchen Porters to support a military operation based in Gosport. This is a hands-on role where you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen organisation within a busy catering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen, dining and communal areas.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and recorded accurately.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages when required.
• Support catering teams with general housekeeping duties.
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist with basic food preparation duties where required.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning or kitchen porter experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working shifts across a 7-day operation.
• Due to the location and shift start times, candidates should have their own transport or live within easy commuting distance of Gosport.
• Free parking is available on site.
