The predicted salary is between 14 - 22 £ per hour.

We are recruiting for a Shunter Driver with HGV License to work Fixed Days OR Nights 4 on/ 4 off 6-6 for a logistics company based in Rugby. This is an ongoing long term temporary role.

Shifts & Pay:

  • 4 on/ 4 off Days: 6am-6pm (0600-1800) - £17.90 per hour
  • Nights: 6pm-6am (1800-0600) - £18.40 per hour

As a Shunter Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of trailer movements and logistics, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your role will involve the following:

  • Trailer Placement: Accurately position trailers in designated areas as per instructions.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct thorough safety inspections as mandated by the company.
  • Incident Reporting: Promptly report any defects, accident damage, or incidents.
  • Professional Conduct: Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues.
  • Speed Monitoring: Report any breaches in speed limits by drivers and subcontractors.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain vehicle parking area layouts and report any debris issues to the site services team.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experienced HGV Driver with Valid License
  • Shunter Experience is desirable, but full Shunter training will be given.
  • No more than 6 points on licence
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

The role requires candidates to undergo a basic DBS check, Credit check and provide verifiable employment/ education history as part of the process.
