We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering to join a well-established Further Education and Apprenticeships provider. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineering professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of industry talent.

About the Role
As an Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering, you will be responsible for managing an agreed caseload of apprentices, delivering high-quality coaching, mentoring, and training throughout their programme. You will act as the key point of contact for learners and their employers, ensuring a smooth and supportive journey from enrolment to End Point Assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular progress reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting learners in building strong portfolios and preparing for EPA
- Working closely with employers to identify meaningful workplace activities
- Tracking and documenting learner progress in line with quality assurance standards
- Delivering targeted sessions to support wider life skills and employability
- Ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and organisational values
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use are essential.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Level 3 vocational qualification in Civil Engineering
- Industry experience within the Civil Engineering sector
- A Level 3 TAQA qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for training, mentoring, and supporting learners
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA processes
