Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team in Salford. This is a long-term temporary role with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. You'll be working on the assembly of non-conveyorised systems, using 3D models and assembly diagrams to build high-quality mechanical components with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components and systems in line with 3D models and technical diagrams.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate builds.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments effectively and safely.
- Conduct regular quality checks during the assembly process to meet company standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with engineers and team members to optimize assembly methods.
- Keep your work area tidy and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- HNC (Higher National Certificate) or equivalent; relevant mechanical fitting certifications preferred.
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter role, ideally assembling non-conveyorised systems.

- Proficient with a range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring equipment.
