About the Role
As aMaintenance Engineer, youll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of heat treatment and ancillary equipment including furnaces, degreasers, and industrial washing machines. You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, lead fault-finding efforts, and support the ongoing improvement of our engineering operations.
Youll also collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production, while ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and servicing of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults including work on logic controllers and schematics.
- Undertake preventive maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime.
- Support with the mechanical and electrical installation of new plant equipment.
- Weld and fabricate parts when required for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance activities.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient running of the site.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
What Were Looking For
- Experience working as aMaintenance Engineerin an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills and solid electrical knowledge (including PLCs and schematics).
- A background in heat treatment, forging, or similar engineering settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service.
- A logical thinker with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Welding experience is an advantage.
