We are recruiting for aMaintenance Engineer who is multi skilled to join a global group of companies who specialise in the manufacture of drainage and piping solutions above and below ground based at their site in Swadlincote.This is a permanent full time role working 12 hour days and nights on a rotating shift pattern (4 on, 5 off; 5 on, 4 off; 5 on, 5 off) offering a salary of £38-42,000 per annum plus excellent benefits as below As aMaintenance Engineer, you will carry out the engineering maintenance activities of the site Manufacturing processes, developing and influencing apprentice engineers, and organising their workload from PPMs, reactive work, and improvement work stays to high standard.

Your main duties will include: Active engagement with plant safety, raising of safety concerns and strict adherence to the 12 Work Safe Basics.
Identifying pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks on a daily basis.
Supporting the Engineering Manager/Team Leader in the day to day running of the department.
Communicate with the site leadership team escalating any problems or issues related to production and engineering.
The writing of clear, concise handovers between shifts; capturing machines issues that could impact production.
Carry out maintenance activities.
Liaise with Engineering Manager/Team leader regarding Continuous Improvement and long-term projects.
Mentor apprentice(s) within the maintenance department.
Actively and analytically fault find.
Appropriate supervision of team and contractors including permit writing and inductions.
Identify and implement PPM and AM schedules and activities, driving continuous improvement.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience: Time served multi-skilled maintenance engineer, working within the manufacturing industry ideally in a static role NVQ level 3 Qualified/ recognised apprenticeship in Engineering Ability to work with pneumatic controls and read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
