This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight/ logistics professional to play a key role in the day-to-day running of international logistics operations whilst contributing to the continued growth of the business. The successful Freight Forwarder will support and oversee forwarding activities on behalf of the business and its parent company, managing shipments from quotation through to invoicing and ensuring customers receive a first-class service throughout the process. As a Freight Forwarder, your responsibilities will include: Managing freight movements from initial customer enquiry through to final invoicing. Handling UK and international import and export customs formalities, including customs entries and related documentation. Negotiating rates with shipping lines, hauliers and logistics providers to achieve the best commercial outcomes. To be considered for this Freight Forwarder position, you will ideally have: Previous experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or import/export operations. Strong knowledge of import and export customs procedures and customs entries. Understanding of shipping lines operating within Iberian, Italian, Benelux and Chinese markets. Knowledge of EU road freight operations. Strong negotiation skills with experience dealing with carriers, shipping lines and transport providers. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
