Meridian are working with a Yorkshire-based company that cover both Construction and MEP projects across the UK, that are once again growing their team of permanent electrical engineers. Due to the demands of growing the business, they are now also looking to hire an Electrical Tester or Qualifying Supervisor to enhance the levels of electrical installations and Inspect & Test the quality of the electrical work before project sign off. Requirements for this role:
- Gold JIB Installation or Approved Electrician card
- BS7671 18th Edition
- 2391 Testing Qualification
- IPAF and PASMA not essential but is a bonus
- SSSTS or Qualifying Supervisor JIB card desirable
- Experience with Electrical Inspecting and Testing, as well as Electrical installation
- Ideally you will already have NICEIC Qualifying Supervising experience, although an ambition to train and progress into this is also desirable if not already qualified
- Previous experience in commercial and industrial projects such as offices, retail, MoD and security bases, commercial building fit outs etc.
- Strong compliance and HSE focus, prioritising safety and correct standards of Electrical installation
- Full, UK Driving Licence (there will be travel involved in this role)
- Ability to work nationwide
Duties include (but are not exclusive to):
- Helping to install Electrical building services such as 1st and 2nd fix of commercial and industrial projects
- Ability to safely and effectively Inspect and Test electrical installations
- Mentor and help to supervise electricians and apprentices on site
- Willingness to develop and train as an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
- Help HSE and project sign offs by assisting with the end of project reports
- Working closely with Electricians on site as well as management teams to provide technical support on compliance, reports, and project paperwork
- Keeping up to date with industry regulations and HSE governing bodies to ensure compliance and accurate Inspection & Testing reports
- Balancing a mixture of office-based and onsite duties
