We are recruiting a Care Home Unit Manager to join a strong and supportive management team within a well-established care home. About the Role
As Care Home Unit Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operational and clinical oversight of the home. Working closely with nurses and carers, you will ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery that meets regulatory requirements and, most importantly, the individual needs of residents. You will take a hands-on leadership role, championing clinical excellence, strengthening governance, and actively contributing to clinical delivery across the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager to develop, implement, and monitor clinical governance policies, NICE guidelines, and procedures in line with NMC and regulatory standards.
- Lead, support, and mentor nurses and carers, providing coaching and training in up-to-date clinical practices including medication administration, wound care, and resident assessments.
- Ensure accurate and compliant care records are maintained, with care plans reflecting residents' individual needs and best professional practice.
- Monitor and review clinical standards, identifying areas for improvement and driving positive change.
- Work collaboratively with the Home Manager and wider leadership team to promote a positive, supportive, and engaged working environment.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating excellent clinical practice, leadership, and professionalism at all times.

- Proven experience as a Nurse Manager or in a similar leadership role within the care sector.
- Approachable, professional, and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player with effective coaching and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications
