Meridian are working with a reputable and well-established M&E contractor in the North-west, who are looking to grow their Electrical Design team. Due to continued successful years, the team continues to grow and as such they are now looking to bring in an Electrical Design Engineer. You will work closely with the Design Team and Electrical managers to develop the designs for the Building Services fit outs, such as electrical layouts, power and lighting designs, cabling structures throughout the buildings.

- Joining a well-structured and organised M&E design team, with existing CAD technicians, apprentices, and a Design Manager
- Salary up to £50,000 DoE
- Immediate start available (subject to successful application process)
- Full-time office-based role in Bolton, with flexible working hours across Monday - Friday

Requirements for the role:
- Experience of designing commercial Electrical Building Services, such as emergency lighting, power distribution systems, fire alarm and security systems, power and lighting design etc.
- Experience developing designs with various digital software such as AutoCAD, MEPWorx, Dialux, Amtech etc.
- Client-focused approach, to understand their needs whilst considering time restraints and pricing
- Able to work independently or alongside other members of the Design team
- Able to report on your own work to improve and feedback to other team members and managers
- Strong presentation skills, bringing an ability to present and adapt to customer, client, and supply chain needs
- Degree's and/or Qualifications in Building Services Engineering are desirable but are not essential for the role
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare documentation, schedules, drawings etc. as required through the RIBA work stages to suit Employers Requirements
- Utilise industry approved methods to develop calculations and prepare reports for client approval
- Interpret specifications to develop contractors proposals documentation and design drawings in-line with their requirements
- Assist the Junior and Intermediate engineers by offering valuable input and technical advice
- Assist Operations, Pre-Construction and Estimating teams by providing technical support and advice
- Managing, maintaining and developing client relationships
- Site visits will sometimes be necessary to engage with clients, supply chain members, and subcontractors
