Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead for a family owned nursing home based in Coventry, Central England.
As a Clinical Lead, you will work closely with our nurses and carers to maintain the highest standards of clinical care and governance in our homes. Supported by the Home Manager, you will ensure our residents receive the best care, meet their needs through excellent nursing and clinical care, and actively contribute to all clinical delivery.
You will have a 36 - 42 hours per week contract, working a 50/50 supernumerary split.
About the role:- This is a role where you will use your professional judgement to make clinical decisions, manage projects and evolve care levels to make sure every resident's needs are met.
- You will provide effective leadership on all issues relating to clinical excellence including clinical training and competencies.
- Have a good knowledge of CQC guidelines and ensure that continued CQC compliance is maintained.
- To be part of the on-call service, on a rota basis, to assist with clinically related matters, rota cover and any other duties that will be part of the service we currently provide out of office hours.
- To complete floor shifts in order to meet the needs of the Home.
- Work collaboratively with clients, family, other professionals and interested parties to enhance the quality of care delivered and offer support to our residents, managers and staff as needed.
- Ensure that the team is updated with the latest clinical developments by providing specialist training and mentoring that will engage and inspire them.
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Attend meetings and assessments as required.
- Effectively manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and maintaining excellent written and verbal communication and record keeping.
- Maintain knowledge of the residents' care plans.
- Registered Nurse (RGN).
- Will ideally have experience using PCS electronic care planning systems.
- Strong clinical skillset and confidence to lead the nursing team.
- Prior management experience, or experience of leading a small team.
- Ability to make clinical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
- A passion for promoting best nursing practice and able to train, support and mentor others.
- A desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC and compliance.
