Meridian are working with a well-established MEP contractor near Deeside that are growing a new Mechanical division, and are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Gas & Plumbing Engineer to carry out domestic servicing, PPM, repairs, and installation of Domestic Gas, Plumbing, Heating, and renewables technology.
Works will consist of small works, maintenance contracts, and full onsite installations. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an exciting growth period, where progression and further opportunities may be available for the right person. Requirements for the role:
- Gas Safe Engineer
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating
- G3 Unvented Hot Water
- DBS checked, or willing to take a DBS check
- Experience of domestic small works & maintenance contracts. Commercial experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ideally experience with water regulations, gas systems, renewables, and solar thermal equipment
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
Duties include:
- Conduct Ad-Hoc maintenance & planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks on commercial & domestic properties & plant equipment, such as hospitals, universities, education projects, government buildings, schools, railways etc.
- Install, service and repair domestic heating systems, boilers, radiators, UFH, renewable technologies & domestic gas appliances
- Attend reactive repair call outs to diagnose and repair faults
- Attend emergencies call outs to diagnose and repair issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials utilised
- Adhere to all health & safety regulations diligently during all operations to minimise risk
- Work alongside other trades and subcontractors
- Ability to work independently on set tasks, or in larger teams when required
- Working to deadlines
- Full understanding and compliance with onsite HSE
- Willingness to learn and progress
