We are looking for an analytical Inventory Controller to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK based in Bridgwater (TA6). Salary £30,923.28. Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30. Permanent role. Benefits: 22 days holiday, pension, healthcare options, and employee benefits platform.
As Inventory Controller, you'll own inventory accuracy across inbound materials, finished goods and warehouse stock, keeping physical inventory and system records aligned across SAP S/4HANA and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). No two days are the same; you'll be running daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies between SAP and EWM, and getting to the bottom of variances, shortages and overages, documenting root causes and putting corrective actions in place. You'll also manage inbound goods receipt and outbound finished goods processes, keeping accuracy and traceability front of mind.
Ideally, you will be someone who enjoys getting to the root of a problem and thrives on data accuracy. You'll work cross-functionally with manufacturing, purchasing and logistics colleagues, help shape and maintain inventory SOPs, and support the site through the post-go-live stabilisation of a major SAP/EWM implementation.
Key responsibilities:
- Running daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits
- Reconciling discrepancies between SAP (transactional) and EWM (warehouse) systems
- Investigating and resolving inventory variances, shortages and overages
- Managing inbound goods receipt and outbound finished goods processes
- Executing core SAP transactions and managing EWM workflows (putaway, bin placement, wave processing)
- Generating and interpreting inventory reports (ageing, stock movement, cycle counts, variance analysis)
- Maintaining SOPs and driving consistent warehouse routines (FIFO, labelling, safety)
PLEASE APPLY ONLINE TODAY and a member of the team will be in touch.
