Due to expansion within the team, we are looking for a specialist recruiter in our Operations team specialising in Technicians across all levels. As a Resourcing Business Partner in the UK\’s largest Water company, Thames Water, you’ll be embedded into the company’s vision and culture and build relationships across the organisation. We’re looking for individuals who have a passion for recruitment, thrive in finding the right people for the right roles and deliver results in an environment of continuous improvement.
Here are the key responsibilities:
* Build and manage the relationships with candidates, key business stakeholders, HR Business Partners and our outsourced preferred suppliers (PSL)
* Direct source and recruit candidates from a variety of sources, including profiling and head hunting, sourcing via LinkedIn and various job boards
* Conduct in-depth telephone assessments of potential candidates through comprehensive interviewing and work history review
* Ensure we have talent pipelines existing to meet the future resource requirements of the business. This is key within the Technician space due to the national skillset shortage
* Work in collaboration with the Senior Resourcing Business Partners in the Technician team, sharing best practice and ensuring that a consistent approach is adopted across Thames Water
* Ensure that the end-to-end recruitment process supports a positive experience to our candidates
* Consult with Hiring Managers to obtain a full understanding of each vacancy and their requirements, providing insight on routes to market and salary benchmarking
* Agree a recruitment strategy with each Hiring Manager to meet set SLA\’s and KPI\’s
With over 100 Technician vacancies across the Operations team, you will play a vital part in our short, medium and long-term recruitment strategy to future proof these key site based roles.
What we are looking for
Due to the volume of roles across London and the Thames Valley it’s important that you’re confident on the phone to candidates and have a positive attitude.
* You’ll need to be fully PC literate on Microsoft Office and able to pick up new systems with ease. At Thames Water, we work with SAP and a bespoke applicant tracking system – Kallidus, and it would be great if you have worked on a similar system
* We work in a structured, process driven environment, so you must enjoy working to a process, ensuring you are following the correct recruitment methodology and frameworks at all times
* you’ll need to be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
* Some recruitment experience, whether this is from a branch or preferably in-house and experience of direct sourcing at different levels and securing placements in short time scales is essential, as well as experience of liaising with external agencies and off-site clients

In return for your hard work, you will receive a competitive salary, 24 days holiday increasing to 29 with length of service and a good contributory pension scheme. The role is based in our clients fantastic central Reading based offices with some flexibility around working from home due to mirroring the client’s hybrid working policy.
Please note this role requires you to be working onsite a minimum of 2 or more days a week to collaborate with your team and stakeholders across sites. You will also support when needed with careers fairs and talent events. You may also be required onsite for your initial training period
