Pertemps are currently recruiting Preparation Operatives to join a well-established specialist manufacturing business based in Pontypool. The company manufactures specialist components and products for the automotive sector, and we're looking for people who enjoy practical, hands-on work to join their busy preparation department.
What will you be doing?
- Sanding down components to the required finish
- Drilling holes accurately following specifications
- Preparing and finishing components ready for production
- Following a clear stage-by-stage preparation process
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Checking your work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Identifying any defects or issues with components
- Following work instructions and production specifications
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and safe
- Working as part of the wider manufacturing team
This is a hands-on role, so you'll need to be comfortable carrying out practical tasks and working accurately to a set process.
Hours & Shift Pattern
You'll work alternating shifts each week:
- Week 1: 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Week 2: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
The shifts then continue to alternate weekly.

- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, assembly or another hands-on environment would be an advantage.
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work
