Pertemps are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for an ongoing assignment in Banbury, starting ASAP and running through to 24 December 2026.
With regular weekday shifts, daytime work and peak pay rates rising to £22.00 per hour from 1st November, this is a great opportunity to get settled into consistent work in the run up to Christmas.
Pay rates
Now until 31 October
- £17.67 per hour for the first 50 hours per week
- £22.97 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week
Peak rates: 1 November24 December
- £22.00 per hour for the first 50 hours per week
- £29.33 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week
Paid weekly, with holiday pay and a pension scheme.

- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
- Average shifts of 10 hours
- Day shifts throughout the assignment

The role
Youll deliver stock to stores nationwide, working with a modern fleet and a supportive transport team.
- Typically 45 deliveries per shift
- Palletised deliveries using a tail-lift
- Some unloading of light stock at delivery points
- What youll need
- A valid HGV Class 1 / LGV 1 / Category C+E licence
- At least 180 days of UK Class 1 driving experience within the last two years
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points, with no DR or IN endorsements
- Good knowledge of drivers hours and driving regulations
