Location: Mt Pleasant Industrial Estate, Mount Pleasant Road, Southampton, SO14 0SP

Rate: £20.19 – £22.12 per hour (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 1:30pm (Some flexibility available)

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start available. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong understanding of business accounts and day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Posting purchase and sales invoices using Sage
  • Raising sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate business accounts and financial records
  • Supporting general accounts administration and reporting
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes

Candidate Requirements

  • AAT qualified (essential)
  • Previous experience in an accounts role (Accounts Manager or similar)
  • Strong understanding of business accounts fundamentals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience using Sage accounting software
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
