Overview
Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Lye area for an experienced Manufacturing Planner to lead the administration and schedules. The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and optimal use of resources. The role requires advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with Sage to manage data, forecasts, and production plans accurately.
Hours of work: 7am to 4pm (30 minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and business targets.
- Use advanced Excel functions to analyse demand, capacity, and performance.
- Maintain accurate planning and production dates with Sage, including work orders, stock levels, and customer requirements.
- Liaise with production progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing planning or production planning role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Practical experience using Sage.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
