£18.00 - £20.00 per hour, Huyton. Immediate start. Full‑time Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 days. Temporary role with the possibility to become permanent. Full training on internal processes is provided.
Responsibilities
- MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication
- Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate components
- Cutting, shaping and assembling metal parts
- Container fabrication and repair work (essential)
- Operating workshop machinery and hand tools
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area
- Supporting wider workshop tasks as required
- Reporting any issues or defects to supervisors
- Assisting with the introduction of new products or processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in welding and fabrication
- Experience working on containers is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong work ethic and a can‑do attitude
- Reliable and safety‑conscious
- Able to provide two references
