Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + 1 week)
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to lead our school catering team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, high-quality meals for our pupils, managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, and ensuring we meet food hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals.
- Plan menus and order food and supplies in line with budget and school policies.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, rotas, and performance.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness.
- Keep accurate records of stock, cash handling, and kitchen operations.
- Work closely with the School Business Manager and Headteacher to ensure smooth running of the catering service.
- Experience managing a kitchen or catering operation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
- Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
