A well-established engineering business in Huyton is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team. On offer is an hourly rate of £18.00 – £20.00, working full-time Monday to Friday on days. This role is offered on an ongoing temporary basis, so please only apply if you are seeking temporary work with potential for permanent. Full training on internal processes is provided.
Responsibilities:
- MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication
- Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate components
- Cutting, shaping and assembling metal parts
- Container fabrication and repair work (essential)
- Operating workshop machinery and hand tools
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area
- Supporting wider workshop tasks as required
- Reporting any issues or defects to Supervisors
- Assisting with the introduction of new products or processes
Requirements:
- Previous experience in welding and fabrication
- Experience working on containers is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Reliable and safety-conscious
