Pertemps are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for an ongoing assignment in Banbury, starting ASAP and running through to 24 December 2026. \n With regular weekday shifts, daytime work and peak pay rates rising to £22.00 per hour from 1st November, this is a great opportunity to get settled into consistent work in the run up to Christmas. \n Pay rates \n Now until 31 October: \n \n £17.67 per hour for the first 50 hours per week \n £22.97 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week \n \n Peak rates: 1 November-24 December: \n \n £22.00 per hour for the first 50 hours per week \n £29.33 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week \n \n Paid weekly, with holiday pay and a pension scheme. \n Hours of work \n \n Monday to Friday \n Start times between 04:00 and 07:00 \n Average shifts of 10 hours \n Day shifts throughout the assignment \n Work planned through to Christmas Eve \n \n The role \n You'll deliver stock to stores nationwide, working with a modern fleet and a supportive transport team. \n \n Typically 4-5 deliveries per shift \n Palletised deliveries using a tail-lift \n Some unloading of light stock at delivery points \n \n What you'll need \n \n A valid HGV Class 1 / LGV 1 / Category C+E licence \n At least 180 days of UK Class 1 driving experience within the last two years \n Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card \n No more than 6 penalty points, with no DR or IN endorsements \n Good knowledge of drivers' hours and driving regulations \n \n Ready to get started? \n Apply today and get your next driving assignment lined up through to Christmas. \n Apply online or contact Pertemps Banbury for more information. \
