We are recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative for a leading aerospace client just on the outskirts of Derby. You will join the team on the shop floor to assist with stock control and handling raw materials coming in and out of site.
This is a temporary contract running approximately until June 2026, with potential to be extended further.
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 07:30am-16:00pm and Friday 07:30am-12:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking, and booking in raw materials against delivery notes
- Safe handling and movement of materials using Forklifts / Counterbalance and Reach truck
- Issuing raw materials to production in line with schedules
- Carrying out regular stock checks and supporting audits
- Ensuring stores areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with H&S standards
- Identifying and reporting damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials
- Maintaining batch traceability and material identification
Essential Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of raw materials
- Experience in a stock or inventory control role
- Experience working in a hands on manufacturing or production role
- Experience processing goods in/out / Dispatch paperwork
- Previous FLT Experience on Counterbalance and Reach Truck
Would be Beneficial:
- Experience working in an aerospace or advanced manufacturing role would be beneficial
