HGV / Commercial Vehicle Technicians Warrington | Permanent | £30,000£49,000 depending on experience Opportunities available at different skill levels Pertemps is recruiting HGV and Commercial Vehicle Technicians for a well-established organisation in the Warrington area. Permanent opportunities are available for junior and semi-skilled technicians looking to develop their commercial vehicle experience, as well as fully qualified HGV Technicians. The position, responsibilities and salary offered will reflect each candidates existing skills, qualifications and experience. The opportunities Junior/Semi-skilled Technicians £30,000£32,000 Experienced HGV Technicians £45,000£49,000 What you could be doing Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include: Inspecting, servicing and repairing HGVs, LGVs and commercial trailers Supporting or completing safety inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults Repairing braking, suspension, steering, driveline and electrical systems Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT and DVSA annual testing Identifying and reporting additional defects Replacing worn or damaged components Completing post-repair quality checks Recording work accurately on job cards and maintenance systems Ensuring vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and legally compliant Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment Experienced Technician requirements For the more experienced positions, you should have: Previous HGV, trailer or commercial vehicle maintenance experience Strong servicing, diagnostic and fault-finding skills Knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, suspension, pneumatics and vehicle electrics Experience preparing commercial vehicles for MOT or DVSA annual testing The ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently A full UK driving licence An NVQ Level 3, City
