About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence across a busy manufacturing environment through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

You'll lead improvement projects, coach teams, embed best practice, and help optimise manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Lean Six Sigma training and coach employees at all levels.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering teams with Lean tools including PFMEA, Process Capability and Line Balancing.
  • Develop and maintain Lean manufacturing standards and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Use Value Stream Mapping and data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs relating to quality, productivity, and cost savings.
  • Work with leadership teams to prioritise improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the business at continuous improvement meetings and share best practice across teams.

About You

You'll have experience driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing or engineering environment and be passionate about delivering measurable business improvements.

You'll ideally have

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Proven experience leading Lean improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, PFMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes and supporting production teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.

This is an on-site role based in Clevedon, North Somerset, working closely with Manufacturing Systems, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Production teams.
