Overview: Class 1 HGV Driver – opportunities to work at East Midlands Airport. Support the trunking operation across the UK. This opportunity provides regular ongoing work once vetting is completed to gain UK Airport access.
Responsibilities:
- Support the trunking operation across the UK as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
- Provide regular ongoing work after completing the vetting process.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
- In date Tacho and CPC cards
- No more than 6 points (no TT, IN, DD or DR codes)
- Have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 6 months due to insurance purposes
Shifts and Scheduling:
- You will know your work rota the week prior, allowing you to plan social activities in advance.
- You will work 4 or 5 days each week depending on shift pattern and it will include one night out each week.
- Most shift start times will start in the PM; drivers must be flexible to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
Rates and Pay:
- Monday to Friday: £19.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday: £21.71 per hour
- Saturday: £20.18 per hour
- Saturday: £22.89 per hour
- Sunday: £21.20 per hour
- Sunday 1900 to 0800: £23.91 per hour
- Overtime weekly after 40 hours is £28.50 per hour
Vetting and Compliance:
Drivers will need to have 5 years of work history vetted and successfully pass a DBS and CO course. This process takes between 10 to 15 days to complete.
