We're recruiting for a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to support multiple ready-mix concrete plants across the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that offers long-term career progression, excellent benefits and the chance to work across a variety of sites.

This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee the production of high-quality ready-mix concrete, support site operations, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between sites is required.

The Role

As a Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor, you'll be responsible for

  • Operating computerised batching systems to produce ready-mix concrete to customer specifications.
  • Supporting Production Managers with the day-to-day running of multiple concrete plants.
  • Carrying out daily inspections of safety-critical equipment.
  • Operating loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering raw materials when required.
  • Managing the safe movement of mixer, tipper and cement tanker vehicles on site.
  • Supervising contractors and ensuring work is completed safely.
  • Completing environmental compliance checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Driving high standards of housekeeping and carrying out routine

We're looking for someone who has

  • Previous experience working within a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • A good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • The flexibility to travel across multiple sites within the South West.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
