Pertemps Technical are recruiting for Skilled Mechanical Fitters on behalf of an industry-leading manufacturer of advanced packaging machinery.

About the Role: You will be assembling and fitting precision machinery from detailed technical drawings, ensuring high build quality and attention to detail throughout the process. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in special-purpose machinery builds.

Location: Bristol, UK - BS14

Full-Time | Day Shifts T2P Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 Overtime Available

Start Date: ASAP £18 P/H DOE (£37,000 per annum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fit bespoke packaging machinery
  • Work from mechanical engineering drawings
  • Perform precision fitting, alignment, and testing
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve build issues
  • Maintain quality and health & safety standards
  • Measurement and alignment techniques
  • Workshop mechanical assembly
  • Build, test and commissioning of packaging machinery
  • Building sub-assemblies
  • Pneumatic installation
  • Set up and running of customer products prior to on-site commissioning

What We're Looking For:

  • Mechanical fitting or machine build experience (special-purpose equipment preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications or apprenticeship (preferred)
