Ready to take the next step in your warehouse career?

Whether you are an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader looking for a new challenge, or a strong Warehouse Operative ready to progress into your first leadership role, we would like to hear from you.

Pertemps is recruiting two Warehouse Supervisors to join a busy, fast paced warehouse operation in Banbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on, motivated individual who enjoys working with people, leading from the front and helping a team achieve its targets.

Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial, but applications are also welcomed from experienced Warehouse Operatives who can demonstrate leadership potential and are ready to take the next step in their career.

You may already be supporting new starters, allocating work, helping colleagues, solving day to day problems or acting as a point of contact when a Team Leader or Supervisor is unavailable.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will support the day to day leadership of a warehouse operations team, ensuring productivity, quality, safety and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

You will play an important role in motivating the team, organising workloads, maintaining operational standards and helping the shift run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and support a warehouse operations team.
  • Help set clear objectives and performance expectations.
  • Allocate workloads effectively and manage changing priorities.
  • Oversee daily warehouse activity to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Monitor operational performance and take appropriate action where required.
  • Coach, mentor and support team members in their development.
  • Assist with the training and induction of new employees.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.
  • Promote and maintain excellent health and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider leadership team.
  • Help create a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and confident leading from the front.

You may already be working as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader, or you could be an experienced Warehouse Operative who is regularly trusted with additional responsibility and is ready to progress.

You will ideally have

  • Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, distribution or production environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, or clear evidence that you are ready to step into a leadership role.
  • The confidence to motivate colleagues, allocate work and address day-to-day operational issues.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A good understanding of warehouse productivity, quality and health and safety standards.
  • Good IT skills, ideally including experience using a warehouse management system.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and organised within a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing people and progressing your own career.
  • Flexibility Required

The operation runs throughout the year, with the exception of Christmas Day, to meet business demand.

Successful applicants must therefore be flexible regarding the shift patterns and hours they work.

Shift allocations will be based on operational requirements, so a willingness to work a variety of shifts is essential.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of £32,000 per annum.
  • Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity.
  • Employee discount scheme.
  • Support and development for candidates progressing into their first supervisory position.
  • Genuine long-term career and progression opportunities.
