Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a well-established client in the Banbury area who is seeking a motivated individual to join their maintenance team.
The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring equipment availability across production processes, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and providing timely responses to breakdowns. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in fault finding, diagnostics, and implementing long-term solutions, all while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, delivering both immediate and sustainable solutions.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with equipment users to understand issues and deliver practical solutions.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
- Complete clear handover notes and reports.
- Undertake risk assessments and issue permits to work when required.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering, plus apprenticeship completion.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a secondary mechanical/electrical discipline.
- Experience in a maintenance department, ideally within food manufacturing or processing.
- Knowledge of PLCs (preferably Siemens).
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and procedures (COSHH, working at heights, confined spaces).
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- A team player attitude, effective communication skills, and computer literacy (Excel, maintenance software).
Desirable: 17th Edition Certificate or equivalent.
