This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key international distributors and sales rep groups. It focuses on driving sales performance, ensuring brand consistency, optimising inventory flow, and identifying opportunities for expansion within assigned territories.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Account Management & Growth
- Develop annual business strategies and sales targets in partnership with distributors and sales rep groups.
- Identify growth opportunities across new categories, seasonal launches, and market expansion.
- Monitor and drive order frequency and order values to elevate sales revenues.
- Analyse sales data, inventory levels and market trends to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead range reviews, pricing discussions, and promotional planning.
- Support forecasting and demand planning to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with distributors and sales rep groups.
- Conduct regular business reviews (quarterly and annually).
- Represent the brand in market visits, trade shows and meetings.
- Ensure brand guidelines, digital and in-store merchandising standards are upheld across markets.
- Partner with marketing to support campaigns, launches, and trade initiatives.
- Provide distributors and sales rep groups with tools and training to effectively represent the brand.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to resolve logistics and fulfilment issues.
- Ensure smooth order processing and timely communication of product updates.
- Maintain accurate account records and reporting.
Skills & Qualifications of the ideal candidate:
- Experience in international account management, distributor management, or sales rep group management.
- Experience working with consumer goods, lifestyle brands, giftware or children's products preferred.
- Ability to manage forecasting, ongoing management and goal setting.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite).
- Proficiency in Netsuite is preferred.
