Purpose of the Role
To support the E-commerce department in delivering an exceptional digital customer experience. To ensure the smooth running of day-to-day website operations, product launches, content updates, and user experience enhancements. This role is critical in managing upcoming e-commerce projects, maintaining high standards of site execution, and collaborating closely with design, marketing, and wholesale teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Website & Content Management
- Maintain and update homepage, navigation menus, banners, blogs, and collection pages.
- Upload products, images, and descriptions for new releases and campaigns.
- Manage tagging, filtering, and search optimisation to improve product discovery.
- Build new pages and blog templates in Shopify, ensuring metadata, SEO, and mobile optimisation.
- Regularly check and fix broken links, remove obsolete themes, and maintain site health.
- Set up, test, and schedule email campaigns, ensuring subject lines, previews, and links are accurate.
- Coordinate with marketing to ensure campaigns align with product launches and seasonal updates.
- List products for wholesale launches and ensure pre-order settings are correct.
- Support wholesale homepage updates and banners, liaising with graphics and wholesale teams.
- Monitor customer behaviour using Hotjar, session recordings, and heatmaps.
- Produce monthly UX reports on navigation, search, and homepage engagement.
- Review new pages against UX best practices, ensuring clarity, SEO optimisation, and strong calls-to-action.
- Work closely with Graphics, Marketing, and Wholesale to deliver consistent and visually strong e-commerce content.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying site issues and recommending solutions.
Skills and Experience Required
- Hands-on experience with Shopify (or similar e-commerce platforms).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, metadata, and content optimisation.
- Familiarity with UX tools such as Hotjar (heatmaps, session recordings, navigation reporting).
- Proficient in website content management, product uploads, and digital merchandising.
- Strong organisational and workload management skills, able to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships (e.g., with graphics/design).
