About Merge: Merge is a regulated stablecoin payments infrastructure platform enabling enterprises to move money globally in real time. We combine stablecoin rails with local instant payment systems to deliver faster, cheaper, and more transparent cross-border payments and treasury workflows. Merge serves fintechs, investment platforms, marketplaces, and corporate treasury teams globally.
The Role: Merge is building the infrastructure layer for stablecoin payments. We want to own the conversation around how enterprises use stablecoins for cross-border payments and treasury - across search engines, LLMs, social platforms, and industry media. This role is responsible for making that happen. You will research, write, and distribute the content that makes Merge the most visible and authoritative voice in this space. The goal is not just to produce good content, but to ensure Merge is discoverable, cited, and referenced wherever this conversation is happening. You will work directly with leadership. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role - not a content queue. Where specialist skills are needed - podcast production, video editing, advanced design - you will coordinate with external freelancers and creative partners. Your job is to own the research, shape the narrative, manage the output, and ensure everything meets a high bar.
What You'll Do:
- Research & Intelligence: Track developments across stablecoins, digital currencies, on-chain treasury management, and cross-border payments infrastructure. Identify the questions that enterprise decision-makers are asking about stablecoins and payments, and build content that answers them directly. Monitor the competitive landscape to spot gaps and opportunities in how this space is being covered. Develop clear, opinionated perspectives on market trends - not summaries, but views that demonstrate expertise.
- Content Creation: Write long-form content for the Merge website: guides, explainers, market analyses, and use-case breakdowns - optimised for both search engines and LLM discoverability. Draft LinkedIn posts and thought leadership content, maintaining a consistent publishing cadence. Produce short-form content: comparison pages, glossary entries, FAQ-style pages, and explainers that capture high-intent queries. Create clear visuals: payment flow diagrams, treasury architecture maps, market comparisons, and infographics using relevant design tools.
- Distribution & Amplification: Think beyond publication. A single piece of research should become a blog post, a LinkedIn thread, a podcast talking point, a newsletter pitch, and a conference abstract. Pitch and place guest articles, opinion pieces, and expert commentary in relevant publications and newsletters. Build relationships with journalists, newsletter editors, and podcast hosts covering payments and digital assets. Coordinate with freelance podcast producers, video editors, and designers to deliver multimedia content. You own the brief and the narrative - external partners handle specialist production.
Who You Are:
- Must Have: Exceptional writing skills: you can take a complex topic and make it clear, engaging, and persuasive. Strong analytical thinking: you can read a market report, a regulatory filing, or a protocol whitepaper and extract what matters. An instinct for distribution: you think about where content will live and who will see it, not just whether it's well written. Speed and consistency: you can produce multiple pieces of quality content per week and sustain that cadence. Comfort with tools: AI assistants, CMS platforms, design and video tools, analytics dashboards. You learn fast and find better ways to work. Intellectual curiosity about finance, blockchain, and how money moves globally.
- Nice to Have: Understanding of how search engines and LLMs discover and surface content. Exposure to payments, blockchain, or financial markets (through study, internships, or personal interest). Experience pitching or placing content with journalists, editors, or publications. A personal blog, newsletter, or portfolio of published writing. Experience briefing or coordinating with freelancers and external creative partners.
What You'll Gain: A front-row seat to one of the most important shifts in global finance, working alongside a leadership team with deep experience across major banks and fintechs. Direct collaboration with the CEO - you will shape the company's external narrative, not execute someone else's content calendar. Real experience in content strategy, distribution, and brand building - skills that compound regardless of where your career goes. Access to freelance creative partners for podcast, video, and design production - you'll learn how to commission and manage specialist work. Opportunities to attend and represent Merge at global industry events.
