About Merge
Merge is a regulated stablecoin payments infrastructure platform enabling enterprises to move money globally in real time. We combine stablecoin rails with local instant payment systems to deliver faster, cheaper, and more transparent cross-border payments and treasury workflows. Merge serves fintechs, investment platforms, marketplaces, and corporate treasury teams globally.
About the role:
We're looking for an exceptional sales leader to build and drive our enterprise go-to-market efforts. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves selling, thrives in fast-moving startup environments, and enjoys building commercial momentum from the ground up.
You'll own the enterprise sales cycle—from identifying opportunities and generating pipeline to negotiating commercial terms and closing strategic partnerships. Working closely with the founders and product team, you'll help shape our GTM strategy while remaining deeply involved in execution. This is not a team management role. We're looking for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, running deals end-to-end, and carrying a meaningful revenue target.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the enterprise go-to-market strategy for our stablecoin and fiat payments platform.
- Identify, engage, and close enterprise customers including fintechs, payment service providers, financial institutions, exchanges, marketplaces, payroll platforms, and global businesses.
- Lead the full sales cycle—from outbound prospecting and discovery through solution design, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
- Understand customers' payment flows, treasury operations, settlement requirements, and cross-border challenges to position tailored stablecoin and fiat payment solutions.
- Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Compliance to translate customer needs into product enhancements and commercial opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with payment providers, banking partners, fintech platforms, and ecosystem participants to expand distribution and market reach.
- Build and maintain a high-quality enterprise pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and disciplined CRM management.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and payments conferences to strengthen our presence within the global payments ecosystem.
- Refine sales messaging, pricing, and GTM strategies based on customer insights, competitive intelligence, and evolving market dynamics.
- Stay current on developments across global payments, stablecoins, digital assets, financial infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks to identify new commercial opportunities and effectively advise customers.
Requirements:
- Experience in B2B enterprise sales.
- Experience selling fintech, payments, banking infrastructure, financial software, or other complex B2B technology solutions.
- Strong track record of sourcing, managing, and closing enterprise deals.
- Experience selling into mid-market and enterprise customers with multi-stakeholder buying processes.
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, venture-backed startup where speed, ownership, and execution are expected.
- Highly commercial with an exceptional bias for action.
- A self-starter who enjoys building pipeline rather than inheriting one.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven, resourceful, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
- Excited by early-stage environments where everyone contributes beyond their job description.
Nice to have:
- Experience selling payment infrastructure, embedded finance, cross-border payments, treasury, stablecoins, or financial APIs.
- Existing network within fintech, banking, or payments.
- Experience working closely with founders or helping establish a GTM function from the ground up.
