Merge is looking for a Business Operations Associate to support key operational priorities across the business as we scale our regulated payments and treasury infrastructure platform. This is a hands‑on role for someone who is highly organized, analytical, and execution‑oriented. You will work across commercial, operations, and product to help ensure important business initiatives are delivered. You may support initiatives related to operational processes, licensing expansion, client requirements, vendor and banking partnerships, internal reporting, and commercial delivery. This is well suited to someone who enjoys solving practical business problems, bringing structure to ambiguity, and helping a fast‑growing fintech.
Responsibilities
- Support operational priorities across the business, working with teams including commercial, operations, and product.
- Prepare internal and external materials, including reporting packs, regulatory support documents, and partnership updates.
- Support business reporting across key operating metrics, commercial activity, client delivery, and strategic initiatives.
- Help manage follow‑ups, timelines, dependencies, and owners across important business projects.
- Support vendor, banking, and infrastructure partner processes, including research, coordination, due diligence support, and relationship materials.
- Support preparation for senior meetings, board/investor updates, partnership discussions, and strategic reviews.
- Use AI tools and automation to improve research, reporting, documentation, and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of ad‑hoc business operations projects as the company scales.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in business operations, consulting, investment banking, fintech, startups, strategy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable in execution.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.
- Able to bring structure to ambiguous or fast‑moving projects.
