PEOPLE as a brand covers 20+ different verticals, so this person needs to be comfortable writing everything from entertainment, royals and lifestyle content to crime, human interest and political stories. There will be opportunities to do interviews and cover occasional events in the London area. We want a self-starter who is not just a talented writer with an eye for a great story, but someone who is equally comfortable pitching ideas and picking up the phone to contact publicists, reps, police, etc. in a bid to obtain original reporting. Impeccable journalism standards are a must.
In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements, (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year).
About The Team: The news team at PEOPLE encompasses 30+ writers and editors who take the lead on the magazine's digital coverage during the off-hours. The team is nimble and well-versed in handling breaking news in all of our 20+ content areas.
