An opportunity has arisen within this leading global asset house for a high performing Fund Accountant to join their Investment Operations team. Experience of system integration and project work, as well as day to day activities (e.g. UCITS fund launches, client transitions, new funding, reporting) would be highly beneficial.
Working closely with all areas of the business you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform the day-to-day work in the administration team including oversight and development of the Client's fund accounting business; maintaining accurate investment records for each client; preparing regular and ad-hoc client reports and maintaining good working relationships with both internal and external clients and third parties.
- Oversee and approve daily and monthly NAV calculations prepared by third party administrator.
- Prepare and distribute monthly fund overviews.
- Oversee client dealing with third party administrators and the Client's investment team.
- Oversee client monthly statements prepared by third party administrator.
- Monitor FATCA obligations; SRRI figures; and EMIR reporting obligations on quarterly basis.
- Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings.
- Review and approve audited fund financial statements.
- Maintain relationships with all parties involved in the Client's fund business, including third party administrators, consultants and auditors.
- Assist with new fund launches.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification (ACA) or equivalent; A' Level Mathematics & Finance Orientated degree.
- (Experienced) IAQ/IMC Award or equivalent - Preferred.
- Strong investment accounting knowledge.
- Strong international settlements knowledge.
- (Experienced) Software knowledge of Portia, TLM and Microsoft Toolbox (preferred).
- Numerate, high attention to detail, adaptable.
- Forward thinking, offers solutions and adds value; self motivated.
- Promotes enthusiasm and a positive attitude, excellent communication skills.
