Our client, a leading global professional services firm, is looking for a qualified Accountant to join the Finance team in the role of Finance Manager, to ideally work in their Jersey office but Guernsey or London would also be considered. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements, supporting legal group audits, and ensuring compliance with VAT, GST, and other tax regulations. Our client operates a hybrid working model.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare both audited and unaudited financial statements for legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Audit Support: Assist and support the legal group audit process, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and timely audit.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit all legal VAT and GST returns, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Partner Capital Reconciliation: Responsible for day-to-day reconciliation of partner capital accounts, ensuring all related postings are accurate and timely.
• Annual Tax Compliance: Support the annual tax compliance process for all legal entities, liaising with tax advisors and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
• Tax Projects: Participate in and support various tax-related projects, providing financial insights and expertise to ensure successful outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA).
• Have proven experience in a finance role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
• Have a strong understanding of financial statements, audits, and tax compliance, including VAT and GST.
