Our client, a highly regarded Investment firm with circa $60Bil of AUM has an exciting new opportunity for a Business/Technical Analyst to join their Transformation team based in London. The role will focus on business critical delivery projects which predominantly relate to Client Relationship Manager (CRM), Execution and Portfolio Management System (IMS) platforms.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Producing User Stories, requirements, process flows, entity relationship models as inputs into both technology delivery, and operating model design work with the business.
  • Analysis and integration of information from disparate sources to produce insights as inputs into the transformation roadmap, and individual projects. Sources could include e.g. SQL databases, DealCloud CRM, business stakeholders, business spreadsheets and TO spreadsheet resources. Insights could pertain to e.g. cost-benefit assessments, project prioritisation, technical designs.
  • Business analyst support into both BAU and project delivery for DealCloud CRM; Execution system; and eventually portfolio management system.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.
  • Experience managing, or playing a key role, in projects which directly changed operational processes or ways of working resulting in strategic business impacts.
  • Demonstrable experience leading, or taking a key role in, projects which required in depth discovery, advanced solution design and the definition and management of UAT (user acceptance testing).

Skills Required:

  • Approximately 5 – 7 years, or equivalent, of experience working within a similar role in Financial Services, Business Consulting or Finance Technology based organisations.
  • The ability to engage and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels, and coordinate teams of business users and technical staff across multiple locations.
  • A curious and analytical approach with the ability to identify areas for process improvements or improving business functionality.
  • Prior experience within the Financial Services industry at an Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO), Wealth Management, or Asset Management firm or experience working with Private Equity, Private Debt or Hedge Funds.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A strong academic record, or equivalent experience; a Bachelor’s degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst with a focus on CRM systems and relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL querying and working with databases such as Snowflake, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of data models, ETL processes, and database structures.
  • Experience in CRM customization, automation, and reporting would be ideal.
  • Ability to interpret and visualize data using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
