Our client, a leading Outsourced Investment Office is looking for a highly motivated individual to join their London based Client Services team. The core role will include the management of the full investment life cycle, from trade planning through to the point of investment execution for each client portfolio. The role will be a key operational resource for the investment team and provide additional support as needed including client relationship management activities. Broad product knowledge is essential (e.g., FX, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity & other illiquid strategies).

The successful candidate will work alongside the Investment team predominantly managing the implementation of client investment strategies, as well as overseeing more junior members of the London based Client Services team. Serve as a main point of contact for clients and other external stakeholders on all operational matters. This includes reviewing execution instructions (private placement subscription documents, hedge fund dealing documents), as well as assessing and determining weekly priorities across the team.

Implement trade plans including a variety of investment strategies and products e.g., FX forward transactions, ETFs, mutual funds, futures, hedge funds, private equity & other illiquid strategies. Own a small portfolio of complex clients and manage the trade execution and client servicing requirements of these clients. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and will be prepared to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and take on a breadth of responsibilities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in supporting a Client Service team, ensuring client investments are implemented in a timely and accurate manner across all asset classes.
  • Comfortable interacting with clients as well as possessing strong attention to detail, prioritisation and communication skills.
  • Good grasp of operational risk and should quickly be able to build up a detailed understanding of the products their clients invest in.
  • Ability to prioritise daily workloads whilst working efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Articulate self-starter with strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism and be a collaborative “team player”.
  • Undergraduate degree and be numerically minded.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
