Technology Associate - £Exc + bens & bonus

Our client is a highly regarded, alternative asset manager with $8 billion in assets under management. They require a motivated Technology Associate to join their Tech team, which is dedicated to solving business problems through software, data, and applied, pragmatic AI.

Bring a blend of creativity, and technical prowess to the company.

Collaborate closely with business units to grasp objectives, build technical skills, and contribute to tools and applications that improve how the teams work.

Use programming skills (C#, Python, R, Java) to improve and automate processes.

Analyse data with SQL for accurate decision-making.

Explore and pilot AI where it may add value to the firm, testing results and weighing accuracy, data privacy, cost, and maintenance.

Build applications and tools for specific business needs, including AI-enabled solutions.

Help pilot promising use cases with the business, evaluate results, and recommend paths forward.

Stay updated on current technology and AI trends and suggest improvements.

Work on projects with global teams.

Experience & Qualifications

Proactive self-starter who is curious about how technology and AI can solve real business problems.

Creative problem-solving and robust critical thinking, enabling you to view challenges from fresh angles.

Excel in fast-paced environments, delivering results efficiently and meeting tight deadlines with ease.

Solid experience in a technology or development role or equivalent education (previous work experience in Hedge Funds, Investment Banking, or (Re)Insurance is desirable).

Demonstrated experience with one of C#, Python, R, or Java.

Proficiency in SQL databases.

Interest in applied AI, demonstrated through coursework, projects, internships, or work experience.

Experience building an AI-enabled application, agent, or workflow is a plus.

Familiarity with major Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, or GCP is a plus.
