Our client, an investment management house, based in the City of London, is seeking a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Business Development Trainee to join a busy Distribution team. This is a varied role providing administrative and operational support across the team, with responsibility for client liaison, reporting, events, meeting coordination and general team support.
You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring requests are handled accurately, professionally and within agreed deadlines.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Distribution team.
- Maintain and update the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring information is accurate and procedures are followed.
- Coordinate client, product and fund information requests and maintain appropriate records for audit purposes.
- Produce reports and analysis, including performance, risk and competitor information.
- Manage multiple email inboxes, prioritising and responding to requests in line with internal processes and deadlines.
- Support team members with ad hoc client requests and data requirements using systems including Salesforce, Power BI, Financial Clarity and FE Analytics.
- Coordinate meetings, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, taking minutes and maintaining action logs.
- Prepare and distribute presentations and marketing materials.
- Arrange travel and accommodation and assist with expenses.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of events, including venue liaison, invitations, delegate management, documentation, itineraries and post-event administration.
- Ensure event documentation is accurate, compliant and appropriately maintained for audit purposes.
- Provide general support to the wider Client Services and Facilities teams as required.
Experience & Qualifications: This role will suit a recent graduate with a client service or business development internship in the finance industry, preferably in Fund Management or Wealth Management. Team player with a positive, results orientated approach.
