Job description: Experienced Recruitment Consultant – Maternity Cover with Permanent Opportunity Job Type: Full-time | Maternity Cover Potential for Permanent Position: Yes – genuine opportunity for the right person Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 Location: Office-based The Opportunity Are you an experienced Recruitment Consultant looking for your next opportunity with a business where you can genuinely make your mark? We're looking for an experienced, driven and personable Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team initially on a maternity cover basis, with a genuine opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right person. This isn't simply a temporary role. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your desk, build client relationships, develop new business and play an important role in the continued growth of the company. We're particularly interested in recruiters with experience in healthcare recruitment, but we're also open to experienced consultants from other specialist recruitment sectors who can demonstrate the right commercial approach, recruitment expertise and relationship-building skills. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently and take real ownership of an established hot desk. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for managing the recruitment process from start to finish, including: Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates through to placement and onboarding. Building strong, long-term relationships with both clients and candidates. Taking detailed job briefs and understanding exactly what our clients need. Sourcing high-quality candidates through LinkedIn, social media, networking, referrals, databases and other recruitment channels. Building and maintaining a strong, active candidate pipeline. Conducting candidate interviews, screening and suitability assessments. Managing multiple vacancies and candidates while delivering an excellent level of service. Developing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Maintaining accurate candidate and client records using CRM/ATS systems. Working closely with the wider team to ensure a smooth experience for both clients and candidates. Keeping up to date with recruitment best practice, compliance requirements and relevant employment legislation. What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced recruiter who is confident, proactive, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys recruitment. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience as a Recruitment Consultant or in a similar recruitment position. Experience managing vacancies and candidates through the full recruitment process. Ideally, experience within healthcare, social care or another specialist recruitment sector. Strong candidate sourcing skills, particularly using indeed and other digital platforms. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A consultative approach to working with clients and candidates. The ability to work independently and take ownership of your desk. Excellent organisation and attention to detail. A commercial mindset with the confidence to develop both existing and new client relationships. Experience using recruitment CRM/ATS systems.
