As a PeriOp Inventory Tech at MercyOne, you will perform essential base-level tasks and functions related to service fulfillment, disinfection & sanitation in patient facing, ancillary or back-office areas. You will provide service, support & colleague or customer support in accordance with level of experience, education, regulatory agency standards & established policies & procedures. You will conduct daily functions in a compassionate, ethical & respectful manner, supporting patients, families & guests in exceeding their expectations. You will demonstrate the ability to deliver personalized care & services unique to the patients' & families' expectations / needs.
Schedule: 8-hours Evenings 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM. Requires holidays, weekends and on-call.
General Requirements:
- Restocks supplies daily and rotates inventory supporting accurate inventory levels, generating orders/requisitions as needed.
- Distributes medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, while monitoring par levels for specific products to ensure that appropriate levels are established.
- Identifies excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits.
- Notifies leader of outdates or slow-moving inventory.
- Participates in the put away and validation process of perpetual inventory items, issues and credits materials from the inventory management system.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly stock locations, and labeling bins and handling requests to change pars.
- Acts as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
- Works with and follows instructions of buyers and other Supply Chain personnel in the events of recalls to pull relevant products.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous perioperative service or inventory management experience preferred. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
