About the role
We have a unique opportunity in a cohesive and dynamic team for a driven self-starter with maintenance experience to demonstrate their passion for service delivery and variety, providing safe and efficient maintenance services for the broader MercyCare facilities portfolio, whilst displaying a high regard for clients and visitors at all times. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, based at our Wembley Residential Aged Care facility, no two days will be the same as you assess the daily maintenance requirements that arise, conducting and evaluating repairs and resources required for effective and timely resolution. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical equipment, carry out scheduled maintenance programmes as required and accompany specialised trades and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the Property and Procurement team.
About you
The successful individual will be flexible, energised, organised and ‘hands on’, cross collaborating effectively with their immediate team and broader work groups as and when required to get the job done. Whether you’re on the road visiting the various MercyCare facilities across Perth, or in the office preparing plans, maintenance reports or attending meetings you will approach your day with a positive team-focused mindset and safety and quality at the forefront! Your resilience and ‘can do’ approach will see you to success in this role as will your demonstrated experience in a previous similar maintenance or trade-based role. You will also require the following:
- Evidence of safety related training
- Trade Certification is highly desirable
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and able to monitor and manage work tasks
- Planning and time management ability
- Resilience and perseverance in managing multiple deadlines
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
- Evidence of Covid and Influenza Vaccination (preferable)
