This role focuses on data-driven fraud analysis, rule optimization, and continuous improvement of antifraud systems, working closely with the Fraud team, Product, Compliance, and KYB&KYC teams.

Your Role

  • Analyze payment traffic and large-scale transactional data to identify fraud patterns, schemes, anomalies, and emerging risks.
  • Perform in-depth investigations of suspicious activity and confirmed fraud cases to understand attack vectors and root causes.
  • Continuously monitor fraud performance metrics to detect shifts in fraud behavior and control effectiveness.
  • Design, implement, adjust, and monitor rule-based fraud controls, thresholds, and escalation logic.
  • Evaluate rule effectiveness, identify false positives and false negatives, and propose data-driven optimizations.
  • Review, propose, and implement changes to risk controls in coordination with the Fraud team.
  • Participate in the operation, development, and modernization of the internal anti-fraud system.
  • Automate anomaly detection and reduce manual investigation effort through smarter analytics.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of fraud detection tools, suggesting improvements based on analytical findings.
  • Build and maintain analytical reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and, where needed, external partners.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support fraud prevention and business decision-making.
  • Own fraud-related performance metrics and drive measurable improvements in fraud prevention efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with fraud trends, techniques, and industry developments.
  • Contribute to the drafting and refinement of fraud-related policies, procedures, and risk documentation.
  • Partner with teams across Compliance, Product, Risk, and Transaction monitoring to align mitigation strategies, process changes, and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience working with transactional fraud in fintech, payments, or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of fraud typologies, detection strategies, and risk control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with fraud monitoring programs and risk requirements from payment networks.
  • Proven ability to own performance metrics and drive measurable fraud reduction or efficiency improvements.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to identify suspicious patterns, anomalies, and trends in complex datasets.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with large volumes of transactional data.
  • Experience analyzing data and presenting results via dashboards and reports.
  • Ability to translate analytical findings into practical actions and control improvements.
  • Able to work independently, taking ownership where your expertise is needed.
  • Strong collaborator, comfortable working across teams, functions, and cultures.
  • Clear communicator, capable of explaining complex analytical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curious and proactive, with a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving fraud threats.

Nice To Have

  • Exposure to machine learning–based fraud detection or hybrid rules + ML approaches.
  • Experience using Python/R for data analysis in an analytical or anti-fraud context.
  • Basic knowledge of probability theory and mathematical statistics as applied to anomaly detection and risk modeling.

What We Offer

  • Competitive market rate salary and performance-based incentives.
  • 22 days annual leave with an additional 6 company days, plus bank holidays.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • Extensive benefits program.
  • Flexible work schedule and remote work options.
  • Modern offices and co-working spaces across 6 countries.
