About your new role
Are you a talented experienced or emerging Sous Chef looking for your next opportunity? Joining the Mercury team as the deputy to the new Chef could be just what you’re looking for. Are you passionate about creating and delivering exciting food for our audiences and visitors? Do you have experience of assisting Chef to lead the overall kitchen operation, including menu creation, prep schedules, stock control, while maintaining the highest food quality and hygiene standards?
You will have previous experience in preparing and serving fresh, high quality, locally sourced food in a fast-paced environment with a creative approach to menus, ensuring that tasty dishes are served quickly, while understanding margins, costing and stock control.
If you are interested in working to a different rhythm with family friendly hours (The kitchen is open only from 11am to 2.30pm and from 5pm to 7.30pm when activities require it), and have the culinary and organisational ability to manage multiple demands on the kitchen, from pre-theatre snacks and cake after class, to conferences, and pre-theatre dining, we want to hear from you.
